Shah Bano Case (1986, Rajiv Gandhi)
- Supreme Court gave justice to Shah Bano, a Muslim woman.
- Rajiv Gandhi overturned it through legislation, making Muslim Personal Law supreme.
- This was a direct assault on equality under Articles 14–15.
Ranganath Mishra Commission (UPA era)
- Recommended SC/ST reservations for Muslims and Christians.
- This would have diverted Hindu quota benefits to non-Hindus.
Minority Ministry and Madrasa Funding
