Jawaharlal Nehru’s statement—
“By education, I am an Englishman; by views, an internationalist; by culture, a Muslim; and a Hindu by accident of birth.”
—was not just rhetoric. His governance and that of his political successors proved time and again that Muslim appeasement was a priority, often at the direct expense of Hindus. The Nehru-Gandhi dynasty systematically sidelined Hindu interests to maintain a loyal vote bank, while promoting a skewed version of “secularism.”
This pattern of favoritism toward Muslims and disregard for Hindus has been evident in multiple instances, right from Nehru’s era to later Congress regimes. However, Hindus have now awakened. They have realized the deception and are uniting strongly in support of Modi to ensure that all remaining injustices are reversed.
The era of Hindu neglect is ending, and Modi is leading the charge toward a truly just and equal India.
1. Nehru’s Anti-Hindu Policies: Setting the Stage for Appeasement
A. Refusing to Rebuild the Somnath Temple (1951)
After independence, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel took the initiative to rebuild the Somnath temple, which was destroyed by Mahmud of Ghazni. However, Nehru was strongly opposed to this, fearing that it would “hurt Muslim sentiments.”
✅ Modi’s government restored Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and built Ram Mandir, undoing years of Nehruvian neglect.
B. Article 370 and the Betrayal of Kashmiri Hindus
Nehru’s decision to grant special status to Jammu & Kashmir led to the eventual ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Pandits in the 1990s.
✅ Modi reversed this injustice by abrogating Article 370 in 2019.
2. Indira Gandhi’s Muslim Vote Bank Politics (1966–1984)
A. Declaring India “Secular” While Ignoring Hindu Persecution
Indira Gandhi amended the Constitution in 1976 to add the word “secular”, but this only applied to Hindus.
✅ Modi’s government is working towards true equality, including temple freedom from government control.
B. Appeasement of Bangladesh at the Cost of Hindus (1971)
After the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, Indira Gandhi did not demand safeguards for Hindus in Bangladesh. They continued to face persecution, while illegal Muslim migrants settled in India.
✅ Modi’s Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) is correcting this injustice by granting citizenship to persecuted Hindus.
3. Rajiv Gandhi’s Double Standards on Religion (1984–1991)
A. The Shah Bano Case (1985): Surrendering to Muslim Clerics
Rajiv Gandhi overturned the Supreme Court’s ruling on Shah Bano under pressure from Islamic fundamentalists, denying Muslim women equal rights.
✅ Modi government abolished Triple Talaq in 2019, empowering Muslim women.
B. Unlocking Babri Masjid for Hindus (1986) – A Political Gimmick
Rajiv Gandhi unlocked the Babri Masjid for Hindu prayers in 1986, but never actually supported the Ram Mandir cause.
✅ Modi ensured the final construction of Ram Mandir in 2024.
4. Sonia Gandhi’s and Manmohan Singh’s Anti-Hindu Policies (2004–2014)
A. “Muslims Have the First Right on Resources” (2006) – Manmohan Singh
PM Manmohan Singh openly stated that Muslims must have the first claim on resources.
✅ Under Modi, welfare schemes like Ujjwala Yojana and Ayushman Bharat benefit all Indians, irrespective of religion.
B. Denying Amarnath Land to Hindus (2008)
Congress denied land to Amarnath Yatra pilgrims, while granting land to mosques and madrasas.
✅ Modi has strengthened Hindu pilgrimage infrastructure.
C. Rohingya Muslim Settlements in Hindu Areas
Congress allowed illegal Rohingya Muslims to settle in Hindu-majority areas, threatening their security.
✅ Modi government is actively deporting Rohingya immigrants to protect Indian interests.
Hindus Have Awakened: The Remaining Injustices Will Be Reversed Soon
For decades, Congress leaders denied Hindus their rightful place in their own country.
They claimed:
🚫 “Modi can never remove Article 370!” – Done in 2019
🚫 “Modi can never build Ram Mandir!” – Done in 2024
🚫 “Modi can never stop Muslim appeasement!” – Ongoing with UCC & CAA
But now, Hindus have realized the truth. They are standing firmly with Modi, ensuring that:
✅ Temple control is returned to Hindus
✅ Uniform Civil Code (UCC) is implemented
✅ Illegal infiltrators are deported
✅ No more discrimination against Hindus
Congress-era injustices will soon be history because Hindus are now politically aware, united, and stronger than ever before.
