Rise and Reawakening of Bharat: From Kolkata’s Collapse to Modi’s New India

Once known as the Crown of the East, Kolkata was one of Asia’s most vibrant industrial and cultural centers.
It had everything — a major seaport, rich mineral resources nearby, a powerful electricity grid, an excellent railway network, and proximity to tea gardens and trade routes.
In 1965, Lee Kuan Yew, the visionary Prime Minister of Singapore, said, “I want to make Singapore like Calcutta.”

But destiny turned differently.

The same Kolkata that inspired the world was destroyed — not by war or natural disaster, but by ideology.
The rise of Communism and Left rule turned the city into a graveyard of industries and opportunities.

How the Left Destroyed Kolkata:

For 24 long years, Jyoti Basu’s Communist regime focused only on one goal — to keep the Communist Party in power at any cost.

Every sphere of life was politicized:

Want a taxi permit? Join the Party.
Want a teacher’s job? Join the Party.
Want a government job? Pay a “party percentage.”
Want to study in university? Join the Communist student union.
Even to run a small tea stall, one had to deal with the “comrade fee.”
Strikes, protests, and violence became the culture. Merit died, industry fled, and the best minds left Bengal forever.

Result:

The economic heart of India stopped beating. Kolkata became a city of nostalgia instead of progress — a living museum of what political arrogance and ideological blindness can do.

What happened in Kolkata was later repeated on a national scale.
While Bengal suffered under communist dictatorship, India was trapped under dynastic politics.
The Congress and its allies replaced communist dictatorship with family dictatorship and minority appeasement. Today, this is exactly what the opposition’s Thugbandhan (corrupt alliance) governments are doing in the states they rule.
For decades, the country was run aimlessly — without vision, accountability, or purpose.

The Reality of the Congress Era:

Dynastic politics became more important than national interest.
Policies were shaped not for development but for vote-bank appeasement — mainly to secure the support of minorities at the cost of the majority.
India’s economy, institutions, and morale began to crumble.
Under the so-called “world-class economist” Manmohan Singh, India reached the brink of bankruptcy by 2014.
The nation’s leadership became a puppet show — the Prime Minister was merely a “Yes Minister” for the Gandhi-Nehru clan.
Corruption, scams, and policy paralysis destroyed investor confidence, jobs, and global credibility.

When the nation was losing hope, a humble chaiwala from Gujarat rose to lead Bharat.
Narendra Modi, with his honesty, vision, and Chanakya-like strategic thinking, changed the course of Indian history.

Under Modi’s Leadership:

India became the world’s 4th largest and fastest-growing economy.
The country built one of the strongest militaries in the world.
Foreign policy saw a revolution — Modi made even superpowers like the United States respect and often agree to India’s terms.
India regained its global prestige and spiritual identity rooted in Sanatana Dharma.
From being an aid-seeking nation, Bharat became a nation that gives aid, leads initiatives, and sets global agendas.

Even after facing a weak mandate in 2024, Modi continues to guide the nation with stability and determination.
Despite coalition challenges, his governance remains focused, efficient, and fast-moving — proving that vision, strategy, and honesty are more powerful than political numbers.
India’s diplomatic, military, and technological advances continue at record speed.
His calm demeanor and sharp acumen have silenced critics and strengthened India’s global standing.

Bharat’s strength lies in its Sanatana values, unity, and discipline.
Yet, internal divisions, greed, and selfishness have weakened society.
Many prioritize personal comfort, wealth, and family over Dharma and the nation.
This mindset is dangerous — it breeds apathy, disunity, and helplessness.

The Reality:

The lack of unity and cooperation between various sections of Hindu society has led to repeated exploitation and suffering.

Unless we rise above personal interest and comfort to defend Sanatana Dharma, culture, and national integrity, we risk losing everything.

If we fail to unite and act now, we may face the same fate as Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh — marginalized and silenced.

Social media has become the new ideological warzone.
Anti-national elements, fake activists, and pseudo-secular media use it to attack Sanatana Dharma, spread false narratives, and glorify divisive politics.
But it is also our most powerful tool — when used with awareness and unity.
