The Crisis of Global Civilization: Extremism, Political Correctness, and the Future of Humanity

Summary:

  • This article analyzes the global implications of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent statements against radical ideologies.
  • It reinforces the argument that humanity and morality can only exist when principles of security and “reciprocity” are upheld.
  • The piece highlights how democratic nations like those in Europe, India, and Israel are facing internal and external threats due to a “Jihadic mentality.”
  • Finally, it appeals to world leaders to abandon “political correctness” and personal interests in favor of bold, realistic decisions for a secure future.

Extremism, Policy, and the Challenge of Global Stability

1. Netanyahu’s Vision: Is This Only Israel’s War?

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has characterized the ongoing conflict against Iran and its proxies as a battle between “radical Islam and modern civilization.” This perspective must be understood in a broader global context:

  • The Frontline of Defense: Israel views itself as a “security wall.” If this wall breaches, it means an unchecked flow of extremist ideologies across the Mediterranean into Europe and the rest of the world.
  • Ideological Expansionism: Netanyahu argues that Iran-backed groups do not merely seek political power; they aim to establish a global order (Caliphate) where individual liberty, women’s rights, and democratic values have no place.
  • Guardian of Western Civilization: Israel’s stance is that if the West does not stand with Israel today, they will eventually have to fight the same extremism on their own streets that Israel is fighting on its borders today.

2. The Suicidal Doctrine of “One-Sided Humanity”

Humanity and morality are the foundations of any civilized society. However, when these principles are followed by only one side while the other side uses them as a shield, it marks the beginning of the end for that society.

  • The Rule of Reciprocity: In international relations and war ethics, morality is effective only when both sides adhere to the Geneva Convention or basic humanitarian rules. If one side uses hospitals and schools as shields to launch attacks, the other side must remove the “blindfold of humanitarianism.”
  • The Weakness of Liberalism: The greatest strength of modern democracies is their “tolerance.” However, extremist elements exploit this very tolerance as democracy’s greatest weakness. They use democratic freedoms to hack away at the roots of democracy itself.
  • Just War: Peace is not merely the absence of war; it is the end of injustice and terror. Sometimes, war becomes mandatory to save humanity, ensuring future generations can breathe in an environment free of fear.

3. The European Tragedy: Asylum, Radicalism, and a Crumbling Social Fabric

Post-World War II, Europe built an image of extreme humanitarianism and liberalism. An “Open Door” policy was adopted, but its consequences have shaken the entire continent today.

  • Uncontrolled Migration: Providing shelter to millions was a noble act, but failing to identify extremist elements hidden among refugees proved to be a historic blunder. Today, “no-go zones” have emerged in countries like Sweden, France, and Germany where local law enforcement finds it difficult to operate.
  • Cultural Conflict: When a large number of people enter a society with values completely opposed to democratic and secular principles, social fragmentation is inevitable. Europe is now in a struggle to save its identity.
  • Shared Pain of India and Israel: India has faced radical infiltration and terrorism for centuries. Israel has fought a battle for survival every single day since its inception. Today, Europe is reaching the same precipice where India and Israel have long stood.

4. “Political Correctness”: A Global Cancer

The leadership of many powerful nations has turned “political correctness” into a veil to hide bitter truths.

  • Vote Bank vs. National Interest: Many leaders nurture or ignore extremism simply to win the next election or cater to specific vote banks. They forget that the radicalism they feed today will grow beyond their control tomorrow.
  • The Courage to Speak Truth: Whenever a leader or intellectual speaks about the threat of “Jihadic mentality,” they are silenced by labels like “Islamophobic” or “illiberal.” This “silencing” is the most potent weapon of the extremists.
  • Selfish Alliances: In global politics, countries often bow to radical powers for short-term trade and energy interests (such as oil). This temporary gain paves the way for a future global catastrophe.

5. A Decisive Open Appeal to World Leaders

The time for tangling in diplomatic jargon is over; it is time for clear action. The following demands must be placed before the world’s leadership:

  • Define Extremism Clearly: Terrorism has no religion, but terrorism definitely has a clear ideology. Identify that ideology and mobilize resources to uproot it.
  • Re-evaluate Refugee Policies: Provide humanitarian aid, but do not compromise on security. Stop providing asylum to those who do not respect your country’s constitution and values.
  • Build a Global Alliance: Create a front against terrorism and radicalism that breaks the backs of extremists not just militarily, but ideologically and economically.
  • Abandon Political Correctness: Rise above personal and political interests to think of national interest and global peace. If you do not speak the truth today, history will never forgive you.

6. Are We Ready for the Disaster?

  • If the global community continues to hide behind “humanitarian goggles” and run from reality, the future will belong only to disasters and endless wars.
  • “Soft power” is not enough to save humanity; it must be coupled with “Hard Power” and the “Power of Truth.”

We must choose whether we want a future where our future generations are free, or a future where the darkness of radicalism consumes everything.

  • Time is short, and the challenge is very serious. It is time to wake up.
