🗓️ April 22, 2025 — A Date to Remember

It was meant to be a day of celebration.
Four young aspirants — from different corners of Bharat — had just cleared one of the world’s toughest exams: the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
But on that very day, a terrorist attack in Pahalgam turned their joy into a nightmare.

🌟 Four Stars — The Bright Future of Bharat

Dr. Vijay Deshmukh – A compassionate doctor from Lucknow who left his medical career to serve the nation.

Sanjay Ahluwalia – A brilliant engineer from IIT Delhi, raised in Muzaffarnagar.
Barkha Singh – A focused and fearless student from LSR College, Delhi, who dreamed of changing society.
Chandana Mukherjee – A quiet, intense scholar from Presidency College, Kolkata, who found purpose in public service.

Their bond had grown at Vajiram IAS Academy, where they lifted each other through anxiety, setbacks, and sleepless nights.

🏔️ April 18 — A Celebratory Trip to Kashmir

To mark the end of their exam journey, they travelled to Kashmir — mesmerized by Dal Lake, Gulmarg, and Pahalgam.
It was to be a memory for a lifetime — and it was — but not as they imagined.

🔥 April 22 — Terror Strikes in Pahalgam

That afternoon, a sudden terrorist attack in the Pahalgam market turned paradise into a war zone.
Selective targeting. Panic. Bloodshed.
In desperation, the four friends paid a local ₹10,000 for escape in a van — unknowingly dropped near Anantnag, close to the Pakistan border.

⚠️ Captured by Pakistani Army

At 4:50 PM, they were arrested by Pakistani soldiers, accused of being Indian spies.
But back home, at 3:03 PM, UPSC 2025 results were announced:

Barkha: Rank 61
Vijay: Rank 67
Sanjay: Rank 71
Chandana: Rank 73

India was celebrating their success.
But the nation didn’t know — these heroes were now imprisoned in a Pakistani jail, beaten, humiliated, and declared “missing”.

🔴 The Ministry of External Affairs, the NSA, and RAW were mobilized.

🔴 Diplomatic and economic pressure was mounted globally.
🔴 Indian media echoed the public outrage.

This is a government that stands with its citizens — anywhere in the world, at any cost.

Had it been Congress, these four brilliant officers would’ve rotted in Pakistani jails — just like the 53 Indian soldiers captured in the 1971 war, who were forgotten and abandoned.
No serious attempts were made for their return.
