Direct Action Day (16 Aug 1946): When Hindus Were Massacred in Their Own Land

🔥 A Day of Islamic Jihad, Congress Betrayal, and Hindu Resistance

On August 16, 1946, Direct Action Day turned Kolkata into a battlefield of organized Hindu massacre. It was not a riot, but an Islamic jihad — and heroes like Gopal Patha sparked the flame of Hindu resistance.

16 August 1946 — a date that should have been engraved in India’s national memory as the first large-scale organized jihad against Hindus in modern India.
But it was whitewashed as a mere “communal riot.”
In truth, it was a state-sponsored genocide in Calcutta, executed by the Muslim League, aided by Islamist mobs, and permitted by Congress silence.

📜 What Led to It – The Muslim League’s Blackmail

The Muslim League, under Jinnah, demanded Pakistan. When the British Cabinet Mission didn’t approve, he declared “Direct Action Day” to “achieve Pakistan through bloodshed.”
Mosques in Bengal gave inflammatory sermons:
“Kafiron ka safaya karo, Islam zindabad karo!”
(“Eliminate the kafirs, establish Islamic rule!”)
In Calcutta, under the Muslim League-led government of Suhrawardy, police were ordered to stand down as Muslim mobs attacked Hindus.

💣 The Result: Calcutta Became a Hindu Killing Field

Over 5,000 Hindus were murdered in a span of just 72 hours.
Hindu women were raped, mutilated, burned alive.
Hindu homes, temples, and shops were looted and torched.
Police watched. Government did nothing.
It was not a riot — it was jihad.

And this was the price Hindus paid simply for existing.

⚔️ Gopal Patha – The Forgotten Lion of Bengal

While Nehru and Gandhi remained silent, one man took a stand for Dharma — Gopal Chandra Mukherjee, known as Gopal Patha.

A meat trader by profession, he couldn’t watch his people being slaughtered.
He mobilized Hindu youth overnight into self-defense squads.
He distributed knives, bombs, guns — and gave one instruction:
“Don’t start violence. But if anyone comes to kill you, destroy them.”
His leadership saved thousands of Hindu lives in north Calcutta and became the only effective resistance against Islamist mobs.
Without him, Calcutta would have seen a total Hindu genocide.
Yet he is erased from textbooks, because he didn’t fit the secular narrative.

🕊️ Gandhi’s Appeasement and Nehru’s Betrayal

While Hindus were butchered:

Gandhi preached non-violence only to Hindus, never to Muslims.
Even after the massacre, he demanded ₹55 crore for Pakistan.
Nehru violated the core principle of Partition — that Hindus and Muslims cannot coexist peacefully in one nation.
Instead of sending Muslims to Pakistan, Nehru allowed them to stay — not out of compassion, but to build a permanent Muslim vote-bank.
This decision planted the seed of seven decades of terror, appeasement, and Hinduphobia.

🔫 Nathuram Godse – The One Who Dared to Resist Betrayal

As Gandhi kept appeasing Pakistan and shielding Muslims who had attacked Hindus, Nathuram Godse acted.
He believed — and history has proved it true — that Gandhi’s leadership was turning into a slow death for Hindus.

Had Gandhi lived longer:

He would have continued weakening Hindu resistance.
He would have allowed further concessions to Muslims.
He would have sacrificed national interest to maintain his ideal of “Hindu-Muslim brotherhood” — even after Partition, genocide, and treachery.

Godse’s act was not personal hatred — it was a sacrifice for civilizational survival.

⚠️ What Was the Cost of Letting Muslims Stay?

Post-Partition, Hindus paid the price of Nehru’s betrayal every decade:

Kashmir Pandit genocide
1984 Assam massacre
Godhra train burning
Bengal post-poll violence
Kerala temple attacks
Love Jihad, Land Jihad, and Terror attacks
Sharia zones and parallel economy
For seven decades, Hindus were taught to tolerate while being murdered, raped, or converted.

And we still continue to pay the price through killing of lots of inncocent Hindus

🛑 Congress: The Party of Permanent Muslim Appeasement

Passed Muslim Personal Law, but not Uniform Civil Code.
Blocked Ram Mandir while fast-tracking Waqf boards.
Called Hindus “terrorists” while justifying Islamic extremism.
Passed anti-Hindu, pro-Muslim amendments in the Constitution.
Gave special rights, scholarships, and schemes only for Muslims.

This wasn’t secularism. This was systematic Islamization in the name of “inclusivity”.

🌟 Modi ji – The Last Line of Defense for Hindu Civilization

Had Modi ji not come to power in 2014:

India would already be almost-Islamized.
Hindu voices would be labeled criminal, and silenced.
Ram Mandir would still be buried in court files.
Article 370 would be intact.
Terrorists would be enjoying government protection.

But under Modi ji’s leadership:

Modi government built the Ram Mandir, fulfilling a centuries-old demand.
It banned Triple Talaq, ending decades of injustice against Muslim women.
The CAA was passed to protect persecuted Hindu refugees from neighboring countries.
Our forces crushed terrorism through decisive surgical strikes.
The leadership revived Hindu pride and civilization with bold cultural reforms.

🚩 Now It’s Time for Us to Take Responsibility

If we want:

To reverse the pro-Muslim, anti-Hindu laws of the last 60 years
To make Bharat a true Hindu Rashtra
To end appeasement, jihad, and secular blackmail
To ensure our temples, daughters, and Dharma are protected

Then we must:

Support Modi ji in every state/local election from now to 2029 and beyond.
Defeat Congress and opposition parties built on Muslim appeasement.
Ensure absoute majority for BJP in 2029 Lok Sabha elections.
Enabling reversal of anti-Hindu and pro-muslim constitutional amendments made by Congress.
Stand united as one Hindu civilization — beyond caste, language, and region.

🗣️ Where Are Today’s Gopal Pathas? Where Are Godses of This Era?

When Islamists brutally behead Hindus in Udaipur, the nation looks away.
As radical mobs attack innocent Hindus in Nagpur, outrage remains missing.
Meanwhile, extremists vandalize temples in West Bengal, but leaders stay silent.
While Love Jihad networks traffic Hindu girls, society chooses ignorance.
Despite this, media and politicians blame Hindus for riots they never started.
Where are our defenders now? Can’t we retort as we did after godhra carnage?
Where are our religious/spiritual leaders and pro-hindutva organizations
Where is the courage of 1946?
Where is our unity, our fire, our Dharma yuddh?

It’s time for all to rise to the occasion again — this time not just to survive, but to establish Dharma once and for all.

Direct Action Day was a Carnage.
Partition was not the solution — it was the beginning of a larger struggle.
The fight still continues, and now, we have a leader — Narendra Modi — to lead the final phase of this civilizational war.
