India Needs Patriots of Character, Not Just Patriots of Slogans

The Japanese Lesson

  • Japan, a country that was reduced to rubble by two nuclear bombs in 1945, could have spent decades begging for aid and sympathy. It could have played the victim card forever. But it did not. Instead, the Japanese people rebuilt their nation with pride, discipline, and unshakable self-respect.
  • In all these years, Japan has never stretched out its hand to America or the West for alms. It stood up, worked silently, and transformed itself into one of the strongest economies in the world.

But here comes a bitter story that hits even harder.

  • An Indian man, who had been living in Japan for over a year, noticed something strange. The Japanese were polite, respectful, and helpful. But despite all the warmth, not one Japanese family ever invited him home—not even for a simple cup of tea.
  • Perplexed, and a little hurt, he asked a Japanese friend, “Why is it that no one invites me home?”
  • The friend paused, then quietly replied:
  • “Because we are taught Indian history… not for inspiration, but as a warning.”

The Warning

The Indian man was shocked. “A warning?” he asked.

His Japanese acquaintance then explained:

  • “How many British ruled India? Perhaps 10,000? And how many Indians lived there? Over 300 million? Tell me then, who actually oppressed your people? Who carried out the orders to whip, torture, and kill?
  • When General Dyer ordered ‘Fire!’ at Jallianwala Bagh, who pulled the trigger? Not British soldiers—Indians did. Not one turned his rifle on the tyrant. Not one.”

The Indian man stood frozen. The truth stung.

  • The Japanese man continued:
“That was your real slavery—not of the body, but of the soul.”
  • Then he drove the dagger deeper:
  • “How many Mughals came from Central Asia? A few thousand maybe? And yet they ruled you for centuries.
  • They built empires not with their numbers, but because your own people bowed their heads, converted their faith, and betrayed their brothers for survival or silver.
  • Your heroes—Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh—were betrayed by your own people.”
  • “You don’t need foreign enemies. Your own people betray you, again and again, for power, position, and personal gain. That is why we keep our distance.”

The Mirror Held Up to India

The Japanese friend wasn’t finished.

  • “When the British colonized Hong Kong and Singapore, not one local man joined their army.
  • But in India? You didn’t just join the enemy—you served them loyally. You worshipped them.
  • You killed your own people to please them.”

Then came the hardest truth:

  • “Even today, you haven’t changed. Offer free electricity, a bottle of liquor, a blanket, or a few hundred rupees—and your vote, your conscience, your loyalty are all sold in an instant.
  • You chant slogans and wave flags, but when the country demands your character, you disappear.
  • Your first loyalty is still to yourself and your family. The rest—society, dharma, nation—can burn.”

Finally, he said:

  • “If your nation is not strong, your home will never be safe. If your character is weak, no flag can protect you.”

The Unfortunate Reality of Today

And sadly, this bitter truth continues in today’s India. Even in 2025, we see the same disease.

  • We still have more traitors than patriots.
  • We still have millions of people ready to sell their loyalty for petty benefits.
  • We still have a large section of society that thinks “someone else” will save the country, while they remain spectators.
  • Most of those who claim to be patriotic do nothing beyond words. They don’t spare even an hour for the nation.
  • But the traitors? They work day and night. They hide behind the masks of “secularism,” “liberalism,” and “freedom of expression,” while actively weakening Bharat from within.
  • They defend those who openly dream of breaking India into pieces.

The Political Battlefield

This is exactly why India stands at a crossroads today.

  • On one side, we have Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his team, and the BJP—a leadership that has worked relentlessly to strengthen India, to give us global respect, and to build a self-reliant, powerful Bharat.
  • On the other side, we have the corrupt, power-hungry opposition. Parties that have, for decades, manipulated voter lists, appeased dangerous elements, and hollowed out democracy for their vote banks. Their agenda is not to strengthen India, but to divide and loot it.
  • If patriots remain passive, these very forces will hand Bharat over to chaos and weaken it to the point where, in a couple of decades, India may resemble another Pakistan.
  • And we all know what Hindus faced during and after Partition—massacres, forced conversions, exile from their own homes.

Do we want history to repeat itself?

The Call to Patriots

India doesn’t need more loud patriots in speeches. It needs:

  • Citizens of unshakable character
  • Freedom keepers, not just freedom fighters
  • Loyalty in our hearts, not just flags in our hands

It is high time that every Sanatani, every nationalist, every true Bharatiya rises above comfort, apathy, and self-interest, and stands united behind Modi Ji and the BJP. Because without a strong government and a united citizenry, Bharat will once again fall prey to betrayal from within.

  • The Japanese lesson is harsh, but it is a mirror. The problem was never just the foreign invaders. It was the weakness within us—the betrayal, the selfishness, the lack of unity.
  • If we continue down the same path, history will repeat itself.
  • But if we awaken, unite, and commit ourselves to the nation above all else, then Bharat will rise—not just as a regional power, but as one of the Top 3 superpowers of the world.
  • The choice is ours.

It is bitter. But it is the truth.

We have undertaken a focused initiative to raise awareness among Hindus regarding the challenges currently confronting us as a community, our Hindu religion, and our Hindu nation, and to deeply understand the potential consequences of these issues. Through this awareness, Hindus will come to realize the underlying causes of these problems, identify the factors and entities contributing to them, and explore the solutions available. Equally essential, they will learn the critical role they can play in actively addressing these challenges
