The Real Face of Congress – A History of Killing the Constitution and Democracy

If anyone wants to see the biggest betrayal in the name of protecting the Constitution and democracy in India, they should look at the history of Congress rule from 1947 to 2014.
This is the party that repeatedly stabbed the very soul of the Constitution, hollowed out the roots of democracy, and insulted the Hindu society for the sake of Muslim appeasement.

1. Tampering with the Constitution – Amendments for Self-Interest

Between 1947 and 2014, during Congress rule, 64 constitutional amendments were made:

Nehru – 16 amendments
Indira Gandhi – 31 amendments
Rajiv Gandhi – 11 amendments
Manmohan/Sonia – 6 amendments

> Many of these were aimed at reducing citizens’ rights, centralizing power in Delhi, and institutionalizing Muslim appeasement.

> During the Emergency, Indira Gandhi pushed through amendments that weakened the powers of the judiciary and the Election Commission against her.

> Rajiv Gandhi overturned the Shah Bano case verdict of the Supreme Court, placing Muslim Personal Law above the Constitution – a direct attack on India’s justice system.

2. Political Murders of Democracy

The history of Congress is full of moments where democracy was crushed:

In 1939, Congress members elected Subhas Chandra Bose as President, but Gandhi refused to accept his leadership and forced Netaji to resign.
Nehru vs. Patel (1947) – Despite Sardar Patel being the elected choice, Jawaharlal Nehru was made Prime Minister. This was the first major institutional killing of democracy.
Emergency (1975) – Indira Gandhi turned the country into a prison to save her power, imposed press censorship, and jailed thousands without trial.
Sanjay Gandhi’s forced sterilization program crushed the rights and dignity of millions, causing immense suffering.

3. Tradition of Dictatorship and Humiliation Within the Party

Congress not only destroyed democracy in the country but also within its own ranks:

Sonia Gandhi humiliates Sitaram Kesri – Locked him in a bathroom to remove him as party president, then threw him out of the office in his underwear.
After Narasimha Rao’s death, Congress leaders blocked his body from entering the party HQ and refused to hold a state funeral in Delhi to stop the construction of a memorial.
Rahul Gandhi publicly tore apart the ordinance brought by Manmohan Singh while he was the sitting PM, shattering the principle of collective cabinet responsibility.

4. Peak of Appeasement – Steering the Constitution Towards a ‘Sharia Constitution’

Several Congress decisions and amendments had only one aim – securing the Muslim vote bank:

Overturning the Shah Bano verdict
Granting the Waqf Board excessive powers and resources beyond constitutional limits
Placing Hindu temples under government control while exempting mosques and madrasas
Giving shelter and voting rights to illegal Muslim infiltrators from Pakistan and Bangladesh

Today, the same Congress and its dynasty shout slogans about protecting the Constitution and democracy, when in reality, over the last seven decades, they committed the maximum murders of democracy and the worst assaults on the Constitution.
