Narrative vs. Reality: The 70 Lakh Crore Weapon of Good Governance and the End of the ‘Inflation Rhetoric’

Summary

  • This analysis presents a sharp political and economic discourse on the stark contrast between ground realities and the pseudo-narratives manufactured around “inflation” in Indian politics post-2014.
  • The article highlights how the old Lutyens’ ecosystem—now stripped of power, patronage, and illicit earnings—along with the opposition alliance and their chorus of brokers, is attempting to create an atmosphere of instability by continuously chanting the “inflation rhapsody.”
  • This narrative clarifies how Prime Minister Modi dismantled the notorious network of middlemen through technological transparency and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), delivering a welfare package worth ₹70 lakh crore directly to the public over the last 12 years.
  • This commentary logically demonstrates that if the old corrupt system were in power today, this entire fund would have been pocketed by brokers, less than 10% would have reached the masses, and India would currently be on the brink of a Pakistan-like economic collapse.

The Difference Between the Inflation Narrative and Ground Reality

I. The ‘Inflation Rhapsody’ and the Restlessness of the Lutyens’ Ecosystem

Following the historic transition of power at the center in May 2014, a specific political class lost its long-held monopoly. Consequently, efforts intensified to fabricate an artificial counter-narrative.

  • The Anti-Modi Orchestra: For the past 12 years, a “chorus line” from the old ecosystem—sustained for decades on the patronage of Delhi’s brokers—has been screaming in unison to sustain an artificial narrative on inflation.
  • Propaganda and Misinformation: Anti-establishment media, pseudo-activists, and defeated political factions are working in tandem to seed synthetic discontent among the public. Their sole objective is to drown out genuine structural economic reforms with relentless noise, aiming to foster an environment of domestic instability.

II. The Court of the People and the Changing Political Geography

The impact of this orchestrated ‘inflation rhetoric’ and propaganda on ground realities is best answered by looking at the shifting political map of India.

  • The Journey from 7 to 22 States: In 2014, the governance of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was limited to just 7 states. Today, backed by the unwavering trust of an aware Indian electorate, that footprint has expanded to 22 states.
  • The Shrinking Market of Chaos: The common citizen no longer hits the streets to oppose the government. Instead, these protests have shrunk into mere gatherings of self-proclaimed ideologues, paid influencers, and political middlemen. The public clearly understands that these agitations are driven by personal grievances rather than national interest.

III. Countering Inflation: A ₹70 Lakh Crore Welfare Paradigm

The very issue of “inflation” that opposition factions intended to use as a weapon against the administration has been systematically converted into a shield of public welfare through robust macroeconomic management.

  • A Political Weapon Turned Ultimate Shield: Over the past 12 years, Prime Minister Modi has unlocked the state exchequer to deliver a historic ₹70 lakh crore in direct and indirect relief to the citizens through highly transparent policies.
  • The Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Armor: Prior to 2014, middlemen and brokers routinely siphoned off the lion’s share of funds and rations meant for the poor. The current administration leveraged technology to completely demolish this predatory structure. By fusing bank accounts, mobile connectivity, and digital identity, the state secured a pipeline that transfers financial aid directly to the accounts of hundreds of millions of beneficiaries with 100% transparency.

IV. The Truth of the Alliance: What If the Nation Were Run by Plunderers?

It is easy to deduce the catastrophic economic state the country would be in today if the reins of power were still held by the old regime.

  • The Evaporation of Public Wealth: If the old political network were at the helm today, this entire ₹70 lakh crore fund allocated for public welfare would have vanished into the personal lockers of corrupt politicians, middlemen, and brokers.
  • Not Even 10% Would Reach the Public: Mirroring the historic admission of a former Prime Minister—who noted that when ₹1 left Delhi, only 15 paise reached the poor—less than 10% of this capital would have trickled down under the old system. The remaining 90% would have been sacrificed to systemic corruption, leaving the poor struggling for basic sustenance.
  • On the Brink of a Pakistan-Like Crisis: Driven by a total absence of economic vision, unbridled financial deficits, and endless scams, India’s macroeconomic health would have mirrored the bankruptcy of neighboring Pakistan, where citizens face extreme shortages of basic items like flour and electricity.

V. Mourning Lost Illicit Income and Seeking Foreign Intervention

In reality, this coordinated campaign has very little to do with public welfare or genuine economic concern.

  • Desperation Over Blocked Black Money: This entire political lamentation is simply a mourning of the massive, illicit black money pipelines that were severed overnight when the Modi government implemented digital governance and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
  • Failed Conspiracies for Foreign Mediation: In a desperate bid to reclaim their lost illicit wealth and displace the current administration, these defeated factions have stooped to soliciting intervention from foreign powers and international media. They are actively trying to manufacture foreign interference in India’s internal affairs. However, guided by an alert citizenry and a resilient foreign policy, these anti-national conspiracies are failing miserably.

VI. A Vigilant India and the End of Propaganda

The modern Indian citizen easily distinguishes between political theater and tangible, long-term development.

  • Policies That Outperform Propaganda: Even through global shocks, geopolitical conflicts, and unprecedented pandemics, India’s inflation rate has remained remarkably stable and controlled compared to major developed economies, a direct result of prudent, far-sighted macroeconomic policies.
  • The Path of Nationalism and Good Governance: The era when elections could be won by manufacturing fake narratives and synthetic outrage is over. A vigilant India observes that national wealth is no longer sacrificed to corruption or foreign agents; instead, it is being actively invested in state-of-the-art infrastructure, border security, and transparent welfare. Consequently, every political rhapsody of the opposition remains completely ineffective against the ground realities of nationalism and good governance.
